Sahrudaya Old Age Home

A Legacy of Compassion and Care

Sahrudaya Old Age Home is a sanctuary of compassion and dignity, founded in 2005 by MD Mahaboob Ali (Chotu) and Yakubee. Born out of a heartfelt vision to serve abandoned and underprivileged elders, Sahrudaya provides more than just a place to stay—it offers daily nourishment, medical care, emotional support, meaningful companionship, and above all, a true sense of love, belonging, and family.

Today, Sahrudaya Old Age Home operates five centers located in Hanamkonda, Warangal, Yadagirigutta, Kukatpally, and Boduppal, collectively serving 200+ elderly residents. Each center stands as a beacon of hope, offering safe and loving care to those who need it the most.

Our Founders

MD Mahaboob Ali (Chotu)

Founder

Affectionately known as Chotu, Mahaboob Ali was inspired by a life-changing visit to Bhagat Puran Singh Ji’s orphanage in Amritsar. Born in Ellanda village, Warangal district, he grew up with strong values of empathy and service. This powerful experience led him to co-found Velugu – Organisation for Rural Development, initiating blood donation drives, medical camps, women empowerment programs, and more. The vision evolved into creating a permanent home for the elderly in need, leading to the birth of Sahrudaya Old Age Home.

Yakubee

Co-Founder

A pillar of compassion and strength, Yakubee stood by her husband with unwavering support. Born in Sitarampur village, Jangoan district, she brought kindness, discipline, and maternal care to Sahrudaya. Her hands-on involvement from day one has made Sahrudaya not just a place to live, but a home full of warmth and dignity.
